The Coast Guard and the Navy
The United States Coast Guard has been a presence in New London for many years as the home of the Coast Guard Academy, and soon to be the site of the Coast Guard Museum located on the waterfront. Here is a selection of photographs that illustrate some of the USCG's activities, including the famous Rum Patrol during the Prohibition era.
