About the New London Maritime Society, its Museum and Library
The New London Maritime Society was formed in the early 1980s to acquire the city's landmark Custom House as a maritime museum and venue for programs. The Frank L. McGuire Maritime Library in the museum was dedicated in 1998 and has grown to nearly 3000 volumes and a number of archival collections.
"Down to the Shore" is one in a series of illustrated presentations describing our maritime history with images and text. Comments or questions are welcomed by editor Brian Rogers, at firstname.lastname@example.org
We invite you to visit the Society's website to learn about its programs, the Museum and its Shop, and to support our work by joining or making a donation.
